I'll take that suggestion. I need a new song for the March songwriters' circle.

Somehow I have this vision of an outrageous stage act when I think of that name, Jim

There's just one problem with Rickenbackers - you can only play one at a time!

Well, that's still just one Rick, but if you want to go that way, I could then play 3 at once on my 768...

Even if you consider that two, how do you play both necks at once, eh?

In my youth, I was hard on my first Ric. I thought I should act like Pete Townsend since he was one of the main guys that inspired me to get a Ric in the first place. I played hard, physically hard. I couldn't keep the bridge stable since I was reefing on the thing like a lumberjack. Once I had one of the bridge post screws vibrate out during a gig - I never found it - had to get a replacement in a hurry from a hardware store - it wasn't pretty. However, it was good about keeping in tune compared to my one-piece maple neck Strat. I power-chorded myself into oblivion and ultimately in a profound state of weakness, sold her.

I had the axe of my dreams, and life tooketh away.

Now in my old age, I realize the error of my youth and strive to play in a "respectable" fashion. ....non nimium vis, non parum vis
360/12C63 FG and several other guitars & basses not as nice
