I just listened to your new offering; quite good and familiar...that is, one cat doing everything. The drum machine track sounds soft, but big and full during the verse. The vocals...well, I have to say, very good, and I do know exactly what it's like laying, doubling, tripling one's own voice and mixing, trying to sound a bit different per track. Great stuff and effort! Oh, and the guitars sound pretty good as well...

My friends in Arlington can see the Pentagon easily from their apartment balcony.

During my research on the Pentagon, I noticed they used to call the courtyard in the middle with the hot dog cart "Ground Zero" during the Cold War when the Russians supposedly had some nukes pointed there.

I'm curious, was your previous Ground Zero comment (in my Moving to Alexandria thread) referring to Cold War or 9/11? Now I'm thinking I totally misunderstood the joke!

My friends moved there after 9/11, so that is why I tell them they have a ringside balcony to watch (for a second or two! ). They look pretty much straight down the Mall.

we (bassist Karlin McNeill aka McLovin, and I) played three sets at Eastern Market in DC for the National Cherry Blossom Festival,

"East Falls Church" is truly great, your voice has lots of personality and the melody is one to remember! It's like an updated version of John Cales "Paris 1919" with a drunk Stephen Malkmus on vocals. The mix of dreamy elegance and the roughness of the voice makes it really unique. I'll be back for more!

Good recording quality too - however some experiments on how to make the strings more stereo wide, weird, filmic and probably slightly dissonant would make it even more dreamy. But it's your music and it's a great song regardless.
