And I'm In! I just saw the date on my Outlook calendar and said, "Oh, yeah..."
Even though I haven't been on the board too much lately, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person.

Well in an unfortunate turn of events, the fellow firfighter I did a shift trade with so I could have off for the MARF broke his ankle on the job last night and leaveing me trying to find someone else willing to give up thier Saturday off so I can still attend, im happy to report that other than the broken ankle the fellow firefighter is ok and didnt recive any other injuries, so hopefully someone else will be willing to give up thier Saturday off, time will tell..

Guys and gals,

I'm trying to loosely plan my Friday ahead of time... before I leave on Thursday.

I'm planning on going into Philly for the day on Friday to visit some friends and to see some sights (and they're insisting on taking me out for a "real" cheesesteak). I'd like to be back though in time for the "dinner" that usually goes on (I was told about it).

I'm just wondering when this roughly takes place. Is it a "normal" dinner time thing.... typically? (like 5 or 6PM) Or, is it a later timeframe usually, like 8 or later (until people get in and settled etc). I'd just like to get a basic idea of what I need to cram in during the day, so I can try to make sure I'm back by the hotel by that time... that's all.

Right now, my plan is to go into Philly in the morning, like 8 or 9AM and spend the day so any basic ideas would be very helpful.

"Dinner" is probably more in the 8-9ish range or thereabouts. A real Philly cheesesteak, eh? Good luck, I bet all the restaurants say they have the best.

That will work for me - I may not be able to hit the road until around 4, and it's a 3 hour drive for me....

Oh, I can guarantee that... just like when I'm in Chicago and you're talking either Italian beef sandwiches or pizza. They mainly want me to avoid the tourist trap places like Pat and Geno's and take me I think to a more local old place.

Hey.... they're paying, so who am I to argue?

Sounds good... I'm sure I'll be getting updates too, lol. That'll give me enough time to do a bunch o stuff and relax some, yet still see everyone for as much time as I can.

I'll be attending with #1 son - should be there by 10:30 on Saturday (I have some friends who live about 10 minutes away that I want to have breakfast with).
