Fret Variations

Yesterday, I played 4 brand new Rics in a store (2 360s, a 330, and a 620). The fretwork was RADICALLY different, from one guitar to the next. The 620 frets were significantly taller than the others.

Anyone else noticed this kind of variation? I've suspected this was occurring, with new Rics, but yesterday's comparison really drove it home.
