Jangliest Song Ever Challenge

Post by rickosound »

This is the first song we wrote. It was about 5 years ago, and we always joked we would try and make this as jangly as possible one day, just for fun. We never got around to it, until now.

We thought it would be fun to start an ongoing thread about the jangliest song. Maybe there should be some ground rules, and these are open to suggestions from others.
1) It should actually be an original song, appropriate for this forum.
2) No limitations on how long or how jangly or how funny it gets.

On our opening entry, we used these guitars: Rickenbacker 330/6, 355JL, and 360/12. Also used the Ric-O-Sound, Janglebox 1, Vox Valvetronix, and Garageband FX and compression. The opening guitar is the old guy. Everything else is the 17-year-old.

If this needs to be moved to another location on this forum, please advise.

Thanks,
Tom and Matthew

P.S. We can't sing, either.

Do mine qualify as the "jangliest" ever? I don't know, but amidst all the styles The Natives offer, these are "jangle-fests." My favorite band of all time, since '83 or so, was/is REM. However, when I use chimey guitars I find the Stones Roses are always whispering in my ears...Wahi'
