I would never buy a fireglo bass. ;-)

But I bought several basses I really wanted last couple of years. (One of them being a 4005.) Some not even with my own money, but on credit money (my way of saving ;-)). I do not regret one of them. But even if you do, you can allways sell again.

The auction ended but I don't think that there was a bid on it ... at least, I'm not seeing one on the eBay ad page. :?

Thank you for your insight people.
I still wasn't sure what should I do but it is indeed gone, probably sold outside ebay.
This is actually a relief for me :) no need to think about it anymore.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Very nice example, but probably about 33% overpriced. Save that kidney until an equivalent 4001 comes along!

Umm, yes, Ilan is right... :)
I already have a 1972 4001.

4005 is next on my list.

With respect, a mid to late 60's bass is not comparable to a early 70's bass, from many perspectives. The pricing alone, on both, (if you could find a '67), will certainly reflect that.

I prefer a 67 4005 to a 67 4001. Regardless to the market value.
