Old Catalogues
Yeah, catalog-ues-!
At work they were digging out the "archive" which unearthed some "old" catalogues - Epiphone, Gibson and the like from the early 2000s.
Most were general US catalogues, but I also got an epiphone 2004 catalogue in russian, and an original Gibson John Lennon acoustic guitar promo photo of the guitar in a bed-in scene.
Among the catalogues I took home (otherwise they'd be thrown into the paper recycling bin) was a Luthman 2005 catalogue, a swedish distributor.
They got two pages of Rickenbackers listed. I'll take some photos and see if I can post them.
Catalogues give a nice reference for a certain year what was available, what the retail prices were etc. Please feel free to add scans/photos of other catalogues with Rickenbacker content.

I love your signature quote, Gary!!doctorwho wrote:Cool!
And agree with Joey's one, too - nothing beats a black Rick!
Scottie - do I see a Gretsch between the Ricks, there? Gibson like to point out Weller used an SG here or there... beats me where exactly
I should save them or try to read it on my old notebook - my 1920x1080 full HD resolution's way too high for reading it

Re: Old Catalogues
That's not the only mistake - check out the picture for the 480 in the '75 catalogue, they switched them!loendmaestro wrote:Correction to the 3001 page from the '75 catalog above...

Re: Old Catalogues
Nope. Note the line down the center of the page...the 480 copy is below the photo, and the 481 is above the photo.

lol... Paul, take another look at the picture of the 480... it only has 4 strings looking awfully like a Model 3000jingle_jangle wrote:Nope. Note the line down the center of the page...the 480 copy is below the photo, and the 481 is above the photo.
Now, that Model 3000 looks more like a 480, eh?

Re: Old Catalogues
Yup. You're right, Werner.

Re: Old Catalogues
The correct version of the '75 catalog, as well as RIC catalogs and literature from many other eras, are available on the RIC website under "History -- Literature Archive."
