Soon, very soon, I too will be eligible for membership into the Vintage Ric Club
Tony C. has been gracious enough to let me add his '81 4001 to my stable. Can't wait to see and feel the difference between it and the '97 4003. Will most certainly have the camera out and active.

You own a '97? Well, that's a vintage then as well... In 1972 a Gibson dealer ran an add for a 1959 Les Paul - the description is the oldest known documented use of "vintage" to describe a guitar (basses will go with the same ageing?). Well, '97 seems to be like 13 years ago.
