ewww... Germs !!!!!

Post by fluffy »

hmm I was watching "What We Do Is Secret" the movie about the Germs (seminal L.A. punk band if ya didn't know  ) and Pat Smear was portrayed playing a 330.. however thanks to a little research, I did find some pics of him rockin' what appears to be a 230....

Could be a 430 ... not too familiar with them but his joining Nirvana was good for the band, I always thought.

that's from clear back in the Germs days, however these days he's apparently endorsed by Hagstrom (can I say that here :? :? ??  )
I'm just glad to see that Rickenbackers were pretty common in the early days of punk rock though. Everyone usually associates them with The Beatles or Yes or Rush, which are fine examples, but a lot of folks still don't understand exactly how versatile Rickenbacker instruments really are :D :D
