I need to photograph a finished unit for packaging and advertising before we start taking orders. But prior to launch to the general public, we'll give RR Forum members and JangleBox Facebook friends advance notice and the first opportunity to order.xpitt wrote:Good news, Steve ! Is it possible to place orders already ?
Re: Jangle Box?

I decided to order a JB-2 instead.
Re: Jangle Box?
JimK,
If you're a fan of the original Janglebox, you'll really be thrilled with the JB2. Not only is it much more versatile, but it's more convenient to use because it takes a standard pin-negative adapter (a One Spot will do). The two channels give you much added flexibility, as do the separate Bass and Treble controls on the regular channel. The JangleBoost channel is great for boosting treble and volume for solos. And the consensus here seems to be that the JB2 really shines when used for direct recording. My only negative experience with the JB2 was removing the six phillips screws from the bottom to open up the pedal and snap the battery out of its cradle (I would recommend using the pedal with an adapter, as it drains batteries quickly).
The JB2 is easily the best effects purchase I've ever made. Please let us know when yours arrives!

Re: Jangle Box?
I ordered my JB2 over the weekend - stumbled onto this thread. I must say I am anticipating the arrival. Just for hoots and giggles, what are the differences between the Byrds model and the JB2?

Re: Jangle Box?
@Geoff: I learned from Steve Lasko that on the Byrds Tribute JB there is a separate tone control added to the jangle boost channel.
What persuaded me to go with the JB-2 was that I thought that was one more bell & whistle I didn't really want; that I could adjust for that with the tone controls on my guitar. YMMV. Also the JB-2 is a few bucks less than the Byrds Tribute model, and I have a couple of gigs coming up with the band soon and decided further not to wait for the new model to make its debut.
@Robert: I have an MXR Carbon Copy, and that's another stomp box that eats batteries for breakfast. I went out and bought a 9v. pin neg. power supply, a One Spot on the recommendation of the knowledgeable folks at Massachusetts St. Music here in Lawrence.

That helps me to feel better - I keep my tone full-blast anyhow - that's how they jangle right?jimk wrote:...I learned from Steve Lasko that on the Byrds Tribute JB there is a separate tone control added to the jangle boost channel.

That certainly is one way to do it, all right.

I'm so pleased to see that so many people are purchasing what I consider to be the best compressor on the market. The JB2 runs circles even around other boutique models, like the Keeleys. Plug in your Rick 12 or your Strat or your Tele and you'll be in heaven!
Re: Jangle Box?
Can you feel the love, Steve? Seriously, I think it's time to start doing JangleBox T-shirts, lunch boxes, beach towels, etc.
This pedal gets such great reviews from those who own it, that those who DON'T must really feel like they're missing something (and they are!). Thanks again for a terrific product. Tom

Re: Jangle Box?
Because I'm kind of a tee-shirt freak, I ordered the long-sleeved "baseball" tee along w/my JB2 so I can "jangle" all day long. (They're available on the site in the "store")beatbyrd wrote:... Seriously, I think it's time to start doing JangleBox T-shirts, lunch boxes, beach towels, etc.

At a jam this past Saturday night, I ran my Collings 290 > JangleBox > Victoria Victoriette. It was the first time I'd played the P90s through the JangleBox in public.
