Did My 330/6 Come With Pure Nickel Or Nickel Plated Strings?

Sorry for being such a newbe but I can't find any information on what the original Rickenbacker strings are made of.

Are they pure nickel?

Or, are they nickel plated?

It is my understanding that the 10-gauge RIC factory strings are nickel plated compressed round.
