Yes, I have to say I like the classic 4000 series headstock shape better too. I wonder if you could use that shape and do the RIC 12 string trick with the octave tuners...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

This is amazing.
I especially like that John Hall authorized the reusing of the old hardware to make a new one with the old jackplate.

One little detail that could be missed on first glance that sums up the attention to detail and how well this instrument must play: 8-saddle individually adjustable bridge; not just a 4-saddle bridge.
