Re: Photographs of the 480 Series

Post by Grey »

I've been holding off posting any new pictures because i've had something in the works for the past month or so. By chance I ended up scoring an original plexi 480 TRC. I always wanted one with the model number on it so I snagged it immediatly. There's a certain elegance to the plexi TRC's. When I got it, I decided to go full-resto. So, here's a couple sneak peaks at the finished article. TRC was not a perfect fit, but that was expected. New Gotoh oval-head Kluson style tuners are the only non-Rickenbacker part. Everything else I ordered from Pick Of The Ricks and they're genuine Rick parts.

No photoshopping here, either. Natural lighting and nothing more.

Hey, i've got love enough for two.

If Rickenbacker made a work mat like that i'd be all over it. And thanks for the compliments. :)

800 x 600 is the maximum size they can be. If you're having trouble PM them to me and i'll resize them for you. Or post them as attatchments.

If you have any photo software from your camera or ink jet printer, it probably has a "resize" option in the photo editor. I think sites like Photobucket allow you to resize and edit too.
Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed (and I mean that in an optimistic way).

Why yes John, you did. You beat me to the post. Thanks again. And beautiful 480 you have there. One of my, if not the, favorite finishes. :D

Oh yeah! Nice!

...and binding too. Yeah, I like the binding. Especially black. Extra specially black with checkerboard...

But white might go better with that color...

Well, you can call it Jetglo binding if you want, but I'm pretty sure RIC called it black...
