I really enjoy the forum and the vast knowledge that is shared here. I also like the class, and dignity that most everyone shares when they post. Every great once and a while a post gets out of hand and it has to be removed, I applaud Peter for this.

We as humans do tend to once in a while slip up on what we say. It doesn't make it right, but we do.

I also visit some other forums that let ALOT of vulgarity happen. It must be a tremendous headache for the moderators to edit/remove bad postings. This is why I'd rather read/post here more often. Although Peter has to remove/edit a given thread once in a great while (At least I believe it to be), this forum does have the best maturity level so far. Let's be sure to keep it that way. I know we can do it! Image

Yikes! I, just now for the first time found the alt.guitars.rickenbacker site. Yuk! Starting with my own guilt, there have been some lousy our rude jokes here, or less than well thought out ideas or complaints. But that place is unbelievable. I feel everyone here is sorta everyone else's buddy, but on that site they're cussin' and personally insulting each other. This and sometimes Tom Petty's site are the only ones I visit. I could never get used to garbage like that. I appreciate you all, and esp. Peter and John Hall.

I agree, this site is like a haven compared to most out there. We really are a family here.

Peter I am still fairly new to this Forum. It has been a good site for everything related to Rickenbackers and the quest of Music in general.

I am sorry to say that I one of the guy's who is guilty of posting an off colored comment of a personal nature in the recent past. You have quite a job keeping this site up and running and I have appologised to the guy I dissed but I will send my "whoops" to you as well!
I was off base completly at the time but I guess we all have our bad day's and I certainly do not expect this to happen again.

As for airing dirty laundry? If this means someone has been douped or feels they were taken advantage of in a deal made with a member through this site or from those dealers who are, specifically, being mentioned by others on this site. (Again, being mentioned by others already in a post on this site) I see no reason any member can't mention the "FACTS" of a the deal and the guilty memember or dealer and perhaps help a fellow "Rickenbachian" from having the same problem. As long as the message is not in poor taste or filled with personal insults I can see where this kind of communication would be more beneficial than detrimental to us all.
This is an information site and I personally would like to have this kind of information before I buy something from someone.

Thanks again Peter This is the most active site I belong to and it is one of the contributing factors in my love of All Things Ric.
