a Byrd lands....
...after a long flight East....breathtakingly beautiful and making a magnificent sound...sitting in an English garden....with a new family...a glowing tribute to Rickenbacker craftsmanship....

Congrats, Eddie! Good show! This is better than the Royal Wedding!
It looks like you've already un-reversed the octave strings back to the proper RIC setup.
Now please put this beauty up for auction when we're not all asleep or fearful of shill bidding so we can see what it's really worth . . .

I am right with you on that Ron...although there were some great "boys toys" on display.....here are my 2 favourite shots: the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fly past (Spitfire and Hurricane fighters flanking a Lancaster bomber) and the newlyweds enjoying Prince Charles's mint Aston Martin DB6 Volante....makes you proud to be British....only thing missing was Townshend perfoming at the reception with a RoMo Rick in his Union Flag jacket (so I've added that!)!
Re: a Byrd lands....
Wow, Ed, you're racking 'em up! Beautiful collection, I wish I were as lucky as you!
Re: a Byrd lands....
Thanks Jake....been like London buses in the past couple of months...you don't see one you want for ages, then 3 turn up at the same time! Hope it's a while before another shows up so the piggy bank can recover...JakeK wrote:Wow, Ed, you're racking 'em up! Beautiful collection, I wish I were as lucky as you!

That's very pretty Eddie. Like you say, your 1998 is very similar in hue to mine. Make the most of this UK sunlight!
Re: a Byrd lands....
Thanks David....you are right, we have to make the most of the one-day-a-year light when we get it here (bit like SF but without the spectacular backdrop!!)!Dasher wrote:That's very pretty Eddie. Like you say, your 1998 is very similar in hue to mine. Make the most of this UK sunlight!
A photographer friend of mine was inspired by the beauty of the Byrd to do a photoshop montage for me....
