Any Rick Shortscale 3000 bass owners here?

Post by Headshots »

Hi, I am new to this forum. I usually camp out over at the Beatgear Cavern. I am the original owner of a 1976 3000 bass that was given to me in 1978 when my ex husband and I got a tour of the Rickenbacker Factory. Rick was a sponsor of the 1977 Broadway show musical, Beatlemania, supplying the guitars. Last year, at a gathering in the Seattle area, I got to meet the two luthiers (Dale Fortune & Mark Arnquist) whose very hands built my bass. That was very exciting to meet the makers of my "Little Ricky."

Welcome, Toni! :D

You will get a better response by posting this in the Rickenbacker Basses section of the RRF; I am pretty sure there are some owners, here, alas, not I. :(

Welcome Toni!
The 3000 is on my wish list in equal 1st position along with a new green 4004. I don't think I'll ever have either though...
Enjoy it! :D

Thanks for the welcome! As recommended, I'll post on the "bass" section. Being new to this forum, I was immediately drawn to the vintage section. I see, I need to get my feet wet before diving in; that said, glad to meet ya!
