Does anybody else here think that Bigsby could have designed the B5 without that treble-side mounting tab sticking out there??? Paul Bigsby was a hard-working genius, who I imagine, did a lot of thinking while he was building things. Didn't it ever occur to him to put that fourth mounting screw
under the spring pad?

BTW, for some insight on how a hardworking genius lives and works, pick up a copy of Andy Babiuk's book on Bigsby. Immensely satisfying and one of the best guitar-related books of the past decade. It comes with a CD of some of Paul's tape-recorded "letters" home when he was traveling in Europe.
