Tremendous looking bass. I also want to make the V/T V/T mod. I see your's are gold plated but I would need chrome. If it is not too much trouble, could you please forward me the contact info of where you purchased them? Thanx, Pete D

Great bass CJ, very well thought out.

I'm really digging your rig in the background as well. Tech 21 preamps right? RBI and a RPM? Or 2 RBI's? I had an almost identical rig a few years back, The only difference was I had Avatar 210 and 212 NEO NEO's.

I'm actually resurrecting that rig to an extent. I will definately have the Tech 21 RPM in the rack though. Very well made, underated piece of gear.

Yes, there's an RBI and an RPM. As it stands now, I run the outputs from each of those into a Rane AC22B stereo crossover to split the high and low for each, then mix the 2 highs to one power amp, and the lows to another (well 2 channels of a Carvin DCM1540L). High channel goes to 10 inch ampegs, low to 15 inchers.

The bass itself is undergoing some changes too. I'm adding a middle pickup and changing the electronics to remove the "vintage" circuits, just having coil splits for each of the 3 and a switch to select whether the middle pickup is mixed with the neck or bridge pickup. And the mono-stereo select switch will still be there...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Very cool CJ - you'll have to post some pix when the 3rd pickup is in there.
My mapleglo Cii will remain stock, but I would love to add a third pick up (near the bridge) to my purple Cii.
