They don't make V63s anymore, they still make the V64. Completely a subjective answer here when using the term "desirable".

Actually, they don't make the V63 OR the C64 anymore, though brand new C64 basses may still be had from some dealers as not all of the stock has sold yet.

Long term, I don't know which will be more desirable, but right now I believe the V63 is. It seems like they fetch pretty good prices on eBay, while new C64 basses have been sitting in stores for weeks or months. I had a choice between two fireglo 4001C64 basses when I bought mine back in February or March. The one I didn't buy is still in the store.

The C64S is a bass that seems sweet, just go for it Carpe Diem, or Carne Diem for you watchers of Wilfred :mrgreen:
