Richard,

How did the Janglebox fare with the P-90's?

Got my JB2 today. I am satisfied in every way, including my nifty baseball tee. I am using the box with a 9 volt negative pin wall-wart, I hope this doesn't void the warranty. The build quality is extraordinary, the sound is better than I expected. It really takes some of the "slop" out of my playing, helping me to focus on creativity rather than an undue amount of technique. With more 12 string practice, my technique will get better.

Many thanks to all for your continued support. We're very grateful. It's difficult to get a foothold in the crowded and highly competitive pedal effects market, and our success (modest as it's been) is due in large part to great word-of-mouth (word-of-internet?) from customers and enthusiasts like those on the RR Forum. We really appreciate it. As always, if anyone has any questions, problems, whatever, please feel free to contact me directly by email or phone.

@Geoff: Glad to see you're pleased with your new JB2. Using the 9V wall wart won't void anything. Our warranty terms, in real life, are actually much more flexible than the legalese on our website and packaging.

@Tom: My wife has been pushing for JangleBox beach towels for a couple of years now. 8)

Should be to market in six weeks, eight tops. (I know I've said "we're close" before, but we're really pushing now.)
...eight weeks today ... :?: any updates ?

The first powder coating was rejected by me three weeks ago, so that set us back a bit. There was also a week's delay receiving the first batch of PCBs, but there was nothing I could do about that.

New enclosures will deliver next Wednesday to our assemblers and boards are being stuffed now. Fingers crossed there are no further delays! We should definitely have a release of the JB2 Byrds LE in June — only a scant year since we unveiled the prototype.

On the upside, the three final prototypes I've been testing the past month sound fantastic!

Steve,

You projected that the JB2 Byrds LE would be available sometime this month. Does that mean it will be on your website soon?

Robert, we are in production right now and expect to have JB2 Byrds Tribute LE's in hand by early next week.

Before adding the pedal to our online shopping cart, we're going to offer the first units to those who've patiently maintained interest over the past year. That includes all the folks who've been emailing us directly, and customers here at the RRF.

We'll have an announcement later this week. Because we were making cosmetic changes up to the last minute, we're still working on product photography and package design.

Steve: when you prototyped this Byrds LE Jangleboxes, I asked if Roger McGuinn was going to get one. You said you had something special in mind for him. Could you drop some more hints to what Mr. McGuinn will be receiving?

It's the same pedal as the JB2 Byrds LE (second- or third-generation prototype) but with "Roger McGuinn" screen printed on it instead of "The Byrds". It's a very limited edition of only two units: he has one and I have one. 8)

Let us know what he thinks of it. Are there any pictures of the McGuinn unit?

We never took pics of the McGuinn Tribute pedal because it's not available commercially. Roger wrote me that he loves his JB2 for studio work, so I assume he's at least as pleased with the new box. The past several years he's been focused on promoting his signature Martin HD-7. In my opinion he's more than deserving of every tribute he's received, including the Lifetime Achievement Award he was presented by the National Guitar Museum a couple of weeks ago in Orlando.
