New 3001

Recently I came across a 1977 3001 in great condition!! It is in MG with wht pickgaurd I just love it!!!!!! I had been saving for 2 years for another 4001. I saw this 3001 and the gent was very kind to meet me at what I had saved!!!! Here is a photo.

My love for my '78 3001 is well documented around these parts.
A fantastic bass, that finally seems to be getting some recognition. Nice, meaty angry P-Bass tone with enough of that signature Rick clank.

That is one heavy bass though.

Nice, they play so easy and the maple sings, a classic instrument. Good move

I love it!!!! I recieved it Wed. and been playing at least 4 hours a day so far. Tonight after work I will be putting on the Elixer strings....BAMM!!! :shock: Will keep that flats that came with it as they seem to be in good shape but they are the heavy flats I prefer med-lite.... anyways.

LOLOLOL Amen Brother!!!!! I just noticed that I bought it from a gent who has it already registered here. Gratfully I bought it from the guy who registered it here, and not somebody else for fear of buying it stolen if ya know what I mean. Anyways glad I bought it from one of the fold here at RickResource. :lol:
