Jon, your '72 burgundyglo is one of my all time favorite Ricks.

If I could find one as nice as yours I'd die a happy man.

Scott, actually she was created in April 73. One of the last Burgundyglo 4001's to leave the factory with vintage features.
It took me 10 years to find her, and I turned down a number of other nice RIC's during my search, but she will be with me for many more years to come.

And Mark, yes that's a horseshoe. My original bridge p/u died about 5 years ago. After consulting with Mr Hall, I bought a horseshoe from him to replace the original p/u with. The chrome surround is the original, only the p/u itself was replaced. It dropped right in, without any mods.

One thing I did do when I put in the horseshoe was to bypass the .0047 cap to get the max out of the pickup. I can't ever see removing the bypass wire because the bass sounds to good with it there.

Ah well, cool beans.

If she sounds great and its entirely reversible, winner! (from one '72BG owner to another). Image

Cool! We should start a new thread: "Post of picture of you HOLDING your ric", and we could have different variations based on country of origin!
