Ricks in the Movies

Post by ccollette »

Brainwave hit me a few days ago while I was watching Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Why not compile a list of movies with Ricks in them.

Here's the 1st -

Just realized I could have put this in another section of the forum... oh well.

That Thing You Do - vaguely recall seeing a Ric 12 in this, though not sure which model.

You'll see some RIC 360/12C63's coming up in this production called "Twilight Zones":

David Chase Feature Film Directorial Debut

David Chase, creator of the multi Award winning series ‘The Sopranos’, has written and directs this 1960’s period feature film.

A semi autobiographical coming of age story features three school friends from New Jersey, who with their love of Rock and Roll; in a time where the country is changing as fast as its music… embark on their journey to independence by starting a band they name ‘The Twylight Zones’.

Featured actors include: Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), John Magaro (My Soul To Take), and newcomer, Will Brill.

Principal photography commences in January. Filming is in New Jersey and New York.

Executive Producers are Mark Johnson and Steven Van Zandt. Kerry Orent is Producer.

Paramount Pictures, Corp will distribute.

As an aside, for those of you who've not seen the Scott Pilgrim movie, there is a scene where there are "dueling basses" - the Rickenbacker vs a Fender Mustang. The Mustang, I believe, belongs to Chris Murphy of Sloan who worked as a guitar consultant on the film (Sloan's Jay Ferguson plays a Rick - don't know why Patrick Pentland never picked one up). Also, the dueling bass music is credited to Neigel Godrich, who produced McCartney's "Chaos & Creation' album.

Ooh.... we could do a game of "Six degrees of Rick-aration".

I know, the title of the game is terrible... it's late and I'm not very creative right now.
