As far as what was USED, I'd have to say the '58 325, for it had about ten years worth of play on it in the span of about four years. In other words, it was rode hard. Constant gigging on that little guitar from 1960-64.

The last time Lennon played the '58 live was the Sullivan show in '64. There are pics of it in the studio during the "Beatles for Sale" sessions.

Hey Nick; Didn't the Washington Coliseum concert follow the taping of Ed Sullivan, on their way down to Miami? I think the DC one was the last 'live' appearance of the '58. Rick

Yeah, but the pre-taped 3rd Sullivan show aired after the Miami show, so in my mind that was the last time the public saw it.

Nick,
"There are pics of it in the studio during the "Beatles for Sale" sessions."

Well, there is one picture, Lennon, dotted shirt, with the old 325. But, to me, he just checked the (then used as back up/ spare)guitar after touring.

To me, he never used it again (as a Beatle).

Anyway, the 325 is a piece of industrial history
of the 20th century.
What a chance to get a faithful replica of this guitar!
Not too bad, this C-Series project! Image)

Didn't they play a show in NYC a few days AFTER the DC show? I believe they played Carnagie Hall, and the place was so crowded, some people sat on the stage.
