Next Gig for Getty Township

Post by jimk »

We're playing a one day festival in our hometown of Lawrence, KS on Saturday, 25 June. It's an annual fundraiser for the Americana Music Academy where I teach, and co-incidentally where the band rehearses. Our set is scheduled to start at 3:40 PM, and the weather forecast is looking good. The festival is located in downtown Lawrence, at South Park, starting at noon, and going til 9:00 PM or whenever the last band gets done. So if you're in the Kansas City-St. Joe-Topeka area come on out.

Thanks, Pat. I think we will. Had a good rehearsal tonight, and we've got some Byrds covers planned (of course!) and some hot blues, and a couple of Chuck Berry covers plus two originals by Yours Truly on the set (one of which is "This Old Coat").

I thought you might like to see a couple of pix of the set we played at the Americana Music Academy's Killkenny Festival last week end.

Nice pics, looks like the weather cooperated for your outdoor event. :D
