Geez. You really have my attention. Gotta see this one.
This thread tells it all. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=387361&p=519769#p519742

I don't remember f he ever posted pictures, but evidently he talked to you about this back in 2009.
Yes, we had a few back and forth emails, but it didn't go beyond that.

Jake - PM me about it if you'd like to restart the conversation, and by all means, let's get together at SCARF.

Painful but true!!

Jake -- there's the solution for part of your fund-raising for the restoration ---- file a claim against the airline for delivering a guitar in pieces

All the kiddng aside, Jake, we would like to encourage you to get a summer job, and the pride and satisfaction in applying the fruits of your labor towards funding the restoration, which when finished, will undoubtedly make this unique guitar the pride of your collection, having brought it back for a second chance at life.

I can bet my ash we'll have Steve F's C63, which I played briefly last year, and it's not particularly better than my V64, because I've left my mark on the V64, but it's different, and the idea is basically the same.

Gary Clauson, if you could, PLEASE bring the Pete Townshend and Roger McGuinn and possibly FG Tom Petty limited edition models? I'll help with transporting if you need it.
Sure, I'll bring the C63.

Make sure you have a good flight case if you are bringing your 1997.

How are we set for amps? I will bring the AC15 Heritage, unless I can afford something different. Saw a '67 Super Reverb at GC and a Roland JC-60(?)

Also can bring the '75 4001, even tho I don't play bass. Perhaps someone can make me an offer I can't refuse.

Steve: Why don't you bring your Deluxe Reverb, too, if you can, for me to play through?

I've got a killer flight case for a 360 Jake, can send it to you just in time to use it for SCARF, and for a great price!

I would love to try and make this event. I've never even been to California before and it would be a good excuse for a vacation.

You should come. From the photos and videos I've seen of past SCARFs, they look like a real good time.

Last year was not only my first visit to SCARF, but also my first visit to California. Great place to visit.

By the way, on Friday, I SHOULD be going to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Hope you can make it Erik !! :D There are probably still some decent air fare deals with prior booking this many weeks in advance with SouthWest, Jet Blue and some others.

Here's some information I'm posting to save you having to find it in earlier pages of this thread.:
Event at:
The Starting Gate.
5052 Katella Blvd.
Los Alamitos, CA
(562) 598-8957
Residence Inn across the street]
Budget hotel:
Don's Turf Motel of Los Alamitos
(562) 431-6563
4732 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720

There's a tab to check flights in as well. For me, the best/most convenient way is Delta into Long Beach airport.Estimated $18 cab ride.

Not that we weren't going to be on our game before, but with all of our attending fellow forumites who are coming from out of town, we're really going to have to be in top form! :D
