Ric-O-Sound

Post by Bill_Russell »

I just ordered a Ric-O-Sound kit from a music store in Michigan. They tell me it takes 10 to 12 weeks to get this unit. I can understand this amount of time if I was ordering a guitar, but it seems like a long time to wait for this unit. Any one else experience these type of delays?

That seems like quite a long wait.

I don't know what kind of deal your music store in Michigan may be giving you, price-wise, but last year I ordered a Rick-O-Sound kit directly from the factory for $68.00 (plus CA sales tax and shipping)... and got it in 3 days.

As a side note: I was really amazed at an e-Bay auction for one of these kits. The bidding was up to $113.00 for a used one?!!? Outrageous!

I saw the same one on ebay. Maybe we should buy them new and sell them! I paid $59.00 at Elderly Instruments. I was going to order from the factory but while shopping for a new amp I asked how much they sell them for (they are a Ric dealer)and the price was good so I ordered it. Seems to have been an error on my part.
