If you had to pick one Ric to take to a gig

Post by jwr2 »

I have owned about 20 ric basses at various times from 1968 to 2002 ... 4001, 4003, 4004, 2030, 4003s5 ... I currently own 8 really nice ric basses ...

But right Now if I had to pick one bass to gig with it would be this one ...

Right now, I would have to say my Blue Beast 4003S/5...

...but that might eventually change to my 4004Cii5.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Hey Ronn,

Just wanted to let you know that I swung by The Bass Emporium in Austin while I was there.
John was a great guy & he spoke very highly of you. I explained that you told me to check the store out & he let me noodle around on the C64 he's got hanging on the wall. SWEET BASS!
He also answered a lot of questions I had about some stuff & to top it off he recognized Glenn Hughes off of my t-shirt & we discussed Trapeze for a while!

Very cool guy who will now have my online business I believe.

Sorry I didn't make it by your gig - every time I go to Austin it's just a drunken blur....

Thanks for the advice!

Chris, glad to hear you got to check out BE, it's a cool place. Isn't that C64 nice? That's the only one I've ever seen. I like the Blueboy 4003 too. My wife who is "careful" with money liked it so much she was wishing it was a lefty so I could get it. Yeah, me too!
As far as Austin being a drunken blur, try living/gigging here. I had four gigs last week, my head still hurts.
