We've seen surfaced:
Tell Me Why
If I Fell
I Should Have Known Better
She Loves You
You Can't Do That
Tell Me Why, If I Fell and ISHKB were in the released film although not in the concert scene

She Loves You was in the concert scene

amazing... the perfect song... the perfect finish

And then one of the quintesenntial SLU vids:

You Cant Do That
SHOULD have been left in the concert scene, although if I had to cut one
song out of that sequence it would have been that one.

There is also the well known deleted scene of Paul walking in on an actress practicing lines.
Unfortunately, this footage has apparently been destroyed. Dang!
http://www.beatlesinterviews.org/dbhdnscene.html

Here's an interesting promo in that the song didn't appear in the film. Its also, IMHO, one of the most
effective examples of how George's lead guitar "made" the song...... even without a lead break!

Perhaps no film captures the essence of the Fabs as well as A Hard Day's Night, however: certainly no other bit of celluloid can do a better job of explaining the initial appeal of the four. AHDN is a perfect entity because it looks and acts like the Beatles themselves - clothed in black and white, exuberant, youthful, politely arrogant, manic, absurd, rebellious, and desperate to break free. It manages to capture a moment in time and demonstrate its timelessness; it stands as a record of a cultural explosion, a four-way personality study, a social satire, and an historical document all at once, and does all of these things so effortlessly and without pretense that only a few decades of hindsight can prove it.

-----------

We loathed the script because it was somebody trying to write like we were in real life. In retrospect Alun Owen didn’t do a bad job, but at the time we were self-conscious about the dialogue. It felt unreal.”
John Lennon, July 2 1964

and then there is this:

hello,
it would be nice to have the concert scene songs in full length. If they performed "You can't do that" in full length, they probably did it with the other songs, too.

Especially "Tell me why" is of interest, because of John's vocal track:
It seems "the other track" of the initially double tracked voice (the double tracking was partially used for the U.K. stereo mix) was used for the original film take, probably by incident.
For the standard mono single mix they used the "better" track.
You can recognise "the other track" best in Tell me why's middle eight, because John is a bit early at "..,if you only listen to my please.."

As far as I know, Doug Sulpy (the 910's Guide to the Beatles' Outtakes) was the first to find this difference, but could not find out why it was so.

To me, today, it was just that they mixed down the wrong of the two vocal tracks of John's voice for the film take.

This difference is not found in the newer HiFi sound mixes of the movie, although there are special film mixes of "And I love her" (Paul's vocal single tracked, but without reverb)
and "If I fell" (Johns intro single tracked without reverb, very charming).

Look at Macca's Rick lying on the ground to the right of Ringo.

Great picture.

Pauls Rick - possible....

I think its a bit hard to tell what that guitar is. According to the caption of where I got this pix, the concert is in 1966.

http://www.rickbeat.com/beatles/beatles.htm
ricy3.jpg
"According to the people at Rickenbacker the S/N of Paul's 4001S starts with a DA indicating that it was built in January of 1964, or at least started by then. Paul's 4001S is only one of two lefties made in 1964. Seeing as his was made or started in Jan. '64 it is most likely that his was the first one made that year. The bass was a very dark Fireglo (almost Autumnglo) model 4001S LH that was given to Paul in August 1964, probably during the Hollywood Bowl concerts. It looked very much like the one pictured below, except that the nut was black at first, and later replaced with a white one. The model 4001V63 PMC is a reissue model of Paul´s bass. ..... Paul continued to use his Ric as a backup bass for the last Beatles tour in '66."

The one we're looking at appears to (possibly) have the triangular inlays, while Paul's Rick of that era did not. Also, the pickups dont seem to match.

I'm not saying that the image we're looking at is not Paul's bass. It could be. But it's sure hard to tell from that photo.

I'm confused...are you sighting the SG with the inlays Kent? The Rickenbacker points 1-2 o'clock. Excuse the hasty mouse skills here

Where's George's Ric 12?

It looks like Paul's bass to me. I think it was the first LH bass Ric made, and I don't think there were many bands who played LH Ric basses in '66, correct me if I'm wrong.

good eye and good mouse skills, Mark.... I see it now..... yea, I was looking at the SG... me bad.
It almost looks like they were just thrown on the floor. They didn't seem to bother with guitar stands
back then.

Cool..... Its like some kind of far out groovy fab Rorschach test.

The Rick 12 was usually kept at the front of the stage, not the back.
