Saw them on the 11 tour in '89 and the Blow Up tour in '91. They were great. Can't remember what guitars they were playing.

I saw them in Boston in 1991, and, if I recall correctly, they were all playing Ricks (except the drummer).

I just got around to purchasing the new album, "2011". Only 1 of 3 albums (digital files!)I've bought this year...REM, The Feelies, and The Smithereens. I saw them back in 2008 in Decatur, Illinois and they were fantastic! I also picked up the new album, 2011 and I really like the new songs. Their style and sound hasn't changed a bit, which is a GOOD thing!
