Not sure what time I'll be getting in. But yeah, I'll leave a note at the desk. Thanks.

I just signed up for a bunch of tunes, but please, anyone else who wants to play any of them is welcome to my spot. I want everyone who comes to have all the chances they want to play. I have a band that plays often, and have already done a couple of mini cons, so I'm happy step off. :D

Hope to see y'all there!

7th Annual SCARF - This One Goes To 11!

Have we heard from Louis C. (Rickendelic) and Colin N. (Suedehead) yet ? What about Henry P. in Palm Springs ?

And keep signing up for songs on the Google Spreadsheet --- SCARF Jam List. :D

(Thanks to Snowman and Vito for signing on to the Jam sheet yesterday ! )

Now if we can just figure out how to rotate all the volunteers we have, who are interested in playing in the various combinations as "Jake and Friends" ..... seems to be one of the more popular jam attractions !!

I'm still trying to figure out a way we can do a Jake and Friends without me looking like a stage hog. I've been doing back and forth emails with Rich coming up with an appropriate set list.

Of course, before I leave, I want to leave an impression by tackling Elvis and maybe Mick Jagger again.

This video showed me a way I can make big lips:

Simple Jake, get your own venue.

This a forum conference, and as such, shouldn't really cater to individual at the expense of the group. The most important thing to me is that everyone who wants to, can get up and play some music. I wouldn't want anyone to turn up and think that they are not going to get to play, or to be intimidated getting up on stage. This is all for fun, and everyone is welcome, no matter what the skill level is. I am looking forward to hearing you play Jake, but am not going to be entertaining any of the anxiety issues of a "Jake and friends" scenario.

I'm not trying to be offensive with this, I just want this event to be a positive and rewarding experience for all who come. Sometimes folks walk away from these things feeling like they weren't included, whether real or imagined, and harbor animosity about the conferences for long after they are over. I've watched this happen before, and it turns into a mudfest on the Forum for a long time after it's over. I will do whatever I can, including not playing a note, to facilitate the most positive experience overall.

It is my belief that the confluences are here so we can meet our forum friends in person, talk and check out our instruments, and strengthen already laid relationships. Getting to play together is a really cool part of it, but it is really just the icing on a glorious cake.

Looking forward to meeting and hearing you all, and buliding stronger friendships. The RRF is the coolest, nicest overall forum of any I've seen on the web. You're a great bunch of folks! :D

Signup sheet, updated: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreads ... n_gO#gid=0

FYI, if possible, let's try to keep the list organized alphabetically by band. To insert a song that's not on the list by that band, either, highlight the row next to where the song would go select "insert row above" or "insert row below" and insert a row, then type the name of the song and the band, and what you're playing on that song.

Cheers. :)

Like all past SCARF events, security measures will be implemented for the guitars. Please have the serial numbers of all your Ricks ready when you bring them into the display room at The Starting Gate.

I know what you're saying Mike and I understand. The "Jake and Friends" section was Rich's idea last year, and he was talking to me about doing it that way again this year. Of course, we can evenly spread out songs so *I* don't look like the stage hog.

I too want to have a pleasant fun time like everyone else and don't want to annoy anyone. I had such a good time last year, and I want to do it again this year.

I'm happy to announce that Hautewerk will play a set at 1:00 PM. JH mentioned that in another thread as well. He beat me to it! :)

Hi,
I've just been swimming (it's gone well beyond wading) through the posts on SCARF. Didn't see any word on a Rickenbacker factory tour like we were able to for the 75th. Any word on a possibility of this?

Thanks,
Jim

I don't think so, Jim.
