I've got another candidate for conversion to 1/2" in the works. It'll have a RIHS as well...

Nah, it's a Mapleglo, but it's definitely special...

OK, so it's not a Rick. My Rick bass is a stock 4002, with a push-pull substituted for the neck volume control so I can have the stock inline .01 capacitor in/out to the neck pickup to get more lows. But my custom bass does have an HB-1 pickup, an older one with @14kohms' worth of wire instead of the current production @15kohms, along with fanned frets and a few other goodies. If anybody has an HB-1 with only @ 13kohms' worth of wire on it, I'm willing to negotiate a good price for it.

That's an interesting neck. What are the scale lengths for the E and G? (I'm guessing long to medium, 34" to 32")

Thanks. Scales: E - 34; G - 33 1/4 (4001/2/3 standard).

Just in time for SCARF. I've had a RIHS laying around for a few years. Might as well put it to use. I put it in the 4001S.
Not sure how old this RIHS is, but it's VERY hot, so much that it's better with a brand new wiring C64 harness with the 330K pot. This RIHS is so hot, I'm not even going to bypass the .0047mf cap.
The Cheyenne to the right is modifying naturally, growing at an amazing rate. We just give her high quality kitten food and fresh water.
4001S with RIHS and Cheyenne at 16 weeks old.

It will sound better with the .0047mf cap, too.

You may also want to try a 12K toaster to better balance with the output of the RI HS PU. This is one of the reasons I bent the shoes, to allow lowering the HS PU more and get a better balance with the neck pickup.

Jeff, the RIHS is kind of low as it is. Yeah I could get it lower if I bent the shoes up. I'd rather find a 12K toaster.

...and Cheyenne is the world's worst food beggar. Worse than any dog I've seen or my parrots.
