Lovely JET! 8)
Thanks Mario! But unfortunately it's not really Jetglo. I have no idea what the original finish was A former owner refinished it with a spray can, even in the control cavity. So it's sort of Jetsemiglo.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

It's a running gag around here Mike. Nothing personal at all.

No, Jetglo while a "classic" isn't for me.

I've been known to call it "Fingerprint Glo" or Oil Spill Glo, or Exxon Valdez Oil Spil Glo...etc.

Jeff, I must say, a HS DOES make a difference. The PG is cool as well! SO LONG AS YOU KEEP her clean!

This is more my speed.

Boy, Tony. That walnut on the right looks awfully familiar. Once again, thanks! I could not have joined the 4001 club without you. She's still in the same immaculate shape she was in when you sold her to me.

Now that we've seen every combination of knobs, pickups, and pickguards, how about some REAL custom basses :!:

This is my RIC. It's a 1995 4003S. I took out the neck pickup as well as the volume and tone knobs attached to it. I also took out the 3 way toggle switch. I had a new pickguard cut for it to cover the route with just the BASS VOLUME and BASS TONE knobs connected. I put a Joe Barden humbucker bridge pickup into it. Now it does'nt buzz when I have it plugged into an amp. I also added Schaller strap locks. Now it looks like a RIC 4000 model.

Yes welcome and I love how you made the guard outer curve follow the body edge constantly.

I should have kept my 4003S BT into a 4000 instead of trading it.

Nice Faux-thousand,there,and Welcome to RRF!
I would like to do a 4003s with the 60's style pickguard and RIHS. The only style element missing would be the walnut headstock wings....
Edit: i've asked Dane to post a current pic of my Laredo he customised, which i subsequently tweaked my own changes to.
Stay tuned,Mousketeers...... 8)

Dane, this is one of the coolest mods I've ever seen! I'd put vintage control knobs and a black toggle switch cover for the contrast, but that's just me! 8)
