Cadillac Torquoise

Post by Ivan3000 »

This has been racking at my mind for ages.
A while ago (before I came active on this forum) I saw on ebay a Rickenbacker 325, and it was listed as cadillac torquoise. The description said it was one of two and it was premiered at a NAMM show (what year it said...unfortunately I don't remember). If someone could shed light on this that would be amazing. John Hall, do you know about this?

I assume you mean "turquoise", Ivan (never too young to use spell check, fella... ).

TURQ was offered on Ricks as a special order color from roughly 1988 through 2002. Cadillac? I don't know...I use a Japanese standard to mix it.

Turquoise was also used on Combo models of Rickenbackers in the early 1950s, but this appears to be a different shade--a bit deeper and more intense. Could be age, though.

Turquoise...Thats it. I am a grammar freak myself so thank you for correcting me. I always spell original wrong as well
