Rare Ric on Ebay ?

Post by brian »

An interesting Ric in this auction, not only slant fret but bound headstock as well. Did the slant fret 360s all have a bound headstock or was this an option? Too bad it is a US only auction.

Yes, this is a neat 360...Most of these I've seen were made in 1971(and this is a '71 not a '72) and have bound headstocks as well. It's a 24-fret guitar too.

It doesn't look like there was any adjustments made to acommodate the truss rod cover with the slant nut. Cool guitar though.

could it be that the trc is not the original?

IMO the TRC is original to the guitar as are all the other components on the guitar. Some of these SF models also have the big 'Gumby' headstock on them and factory Grover tuners, which was not uncommon on some 1970-71 models...

Are these designed to be played out of a 4x12 slant cab?

You're supposed to lean 8 degrees to the right when playing them. :-)
