Actually there's been innovation and improvements. They're just not readily visible, you have to look under the *******.

Looking at Wikipedia's definition of "******", I'm not sure whether I'm insulted or not!
"In the slang of the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa, ******* are scientists, medical doctors, engineers, and other people engaged in technical or scientific research."

???
Yeah, but then it says "****** continued, in this immediate postwar period, to carry its wartime connotations: a modern-day wizard who laboured in secret to create incomprehensible devices of great power. Over time, however, as Britain's high-technology enterprises became less dominant, the mystique of the ****** gradually faded. ******* were relegated, in popular culture, to semi-comic supporting characters such as Q, the fussy armourer-inventor in the James Bond films. The term itself gradually took on a negative connotation, similar to the American slang geek or nerd."

Before this topic gets too bUffoon-ish, lets get back to the original reason or the topic.

I like my Ricks the way they are. If I do any mods at all, they are with RIC parts
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

+3/4 I'd love to have RIC double stack pots, but CTS are OK. And some double stack knobs that looked like the ones for a 4004Cii would be fantastic. But sometimes you just have to make due with something non-RIC...

I like the double stack pots idea.

How about a bass whammy bar/Accent? ;)
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

Never thought I'd see something like this!

Still what about a shortscale 4003 S. C'mon John Hall. I'd love to see one of them.

Logically, and design consistency-wise, the 381/3081 bass should have a headstock that is like the 300 series guitars, just like the 480/481 guitars have headstocks like the 400X basses.
There is no reason to ever be bored.
