Another export model is a white on white 4003..

There's a nice looking white-on-white at Elderly right now, asking $1,950. No affiliation, just since you mentioned it and I know some here are looking for this rare combination...

Just the reverse of what many retailers understand of RIC basses. Still a lot of them out there who think the 4001 is the only RIC bass. This one is likely a 4001 since "production" of the 4001 lingered past 1980 as there was still inventory. Or it could be a 4003 with the wrong TRC and pickguard, but that's unlikely.
