Split Guard Pictures Needed

Post by rickfan60 »

I am doing some preparation for my next project bass. It is an '85 4003 with a split guard. Because some of the truss hardware is missing, I would like to see some pictures of how the rod ends are supposed to look - both under the guard and TRC. I believe this one was assembled incorrectly by the seller. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

I think I have the body end figured out. The stuff under the TRC is not totally clear yet.

Under the TRC, there are 2 canals. The truss rods adjust at the body but come out through the headstock. The TRC never has to be removed for the rods to be adjusted, only if you are going to take them out.
