Guitars stolen from Mitch Easter!
Hey guys - no Ric content here, but thought I should pass this along for Mitch. He recently had some gear stolen - see below..
GUITARS STOLEN from Mitch Easter
Hello everyone-
Please keep your eyes peeled for the following guitars. Like a lot of us, Mitch has been picking up great guitars along the way. The Fender XII has been his since he was a kid.
Please pass this list around to anyone you know.
1. G&L L-2000 bass, natural, 1980-1 version (Fender headstock) (USA)
2. Jerry Jones Longhorn Bass, aquaburst, ser. no. 046706 recent (USA)
3. Fender pink paisley Stratocaster, 2004 (Japan)
4. Fender rosewood- body Telecaster, rosewood fretboard, 2003 (Mexico)
5. Fender Electric XII, Olympic White w/tortoise pickguard, 1966 (USA)
6. Kay 6-string acoustic, 1962, rebuilt by Scott Baxendale, red sunburst (USA)
7. Guild S-60, black, 1979 (USA)
Please let him know if you see any of these about.
Many thanks!
Shawn

Mitch is a member here. I hope he gets his instruments back.

Thieves suck. Do we know from whence they were stolen? Might make it easier to spot suspicious items...
Ah, a search revealed that they were stolen from his studio in NC.

If it is to be, it is up to me.

Ditto that!rickenbrother wrote:I hope so too!winston wrote:Mitch is a member here. I hope he gets his instruments back.
Extra bummer about the XII he's had since a kid. Thank goodness they didn't get his signature Blue 330!
There is no reason to ever be bored.

Yes, it was, Rich. What a shame!
Re: Guitars stolen from Mitch Easter!
That's really terrible! I should think that whoevever stole them did not understand that there will be an army of loyal fans and friends keeping an eye out for these guitars, which are sure to surface.

The burglary of anything fuels such anger! We are all told as citizens to give up our wallets, women their purses, because it's just not worth it. Should I ever walk in and confront a burglar/burglars stealing my gear, the last thing I can imagine I'd do is to not confront them, and to stay back thinking "it's just not worth it." I'm sure something severe would happen to somebody because I would fight like "H"! Wise or not, I'd spring into action, maybe to my demise. With luck, no more of us will face such a day.

Just saw this on Facebook. I am both saddened and disgusted by this. My son just used the Fender 12 and that Guild a few weeks ago. I had the chance to check out the Kay acoustic. Mitch loved that guitar, and all of them. These are special instruments.
Bad karma to those that did this.
Mitch is a great dude that doesn't deserve this. I have a pit in my stomach just hearing about it

Re: Guitars stolen from Mitch Easter!
To me, it's all about finding the "right" sound for the job. Sometimes, that is the chime of a Ric 12, but othertimes that is the two clicks of a Remington 12...
Sorry Mitch, I hope you get them all back intact. I would have to think if someone tries to sell off a '66 Fender 12 that it will get noticed.
Here's hoping,
LEL (Jason)

A jury of there peers would say not guilty to the guys who shot the crooks if they were dealt some 9mm justice.
Re: Guitars stolen from Mitch Easter!
Sorry to hear this, makes me both angry and sad. Good Luck Mitch I hope they all come back!
