Thanks Rich. That I am - I have Frankenberry, Booberry, and Count Chocula on my T-shirt!8mileshigher wrote:IHeartRics wrote:Hey Rich, 480's and checkerboard guitar straps just go sooo well together!
Chip, no doubt about it, you are a man of exceptional good tastes !!![]()
(Let the truth be known .... my 480 pilfered the checkered strap from my JG 660-12 !)
What I want to know is, how do you play with the guitar slung that low? I can do it with the SG, but the position of the strap button on the horn changes the way the 480 hangs and I have to hike it up a bit, otherwise it becomes increasingly difficult to play barre chords past the 9th fret.IHeartRics wrote:Thanks Rich. I'm a Cheap Trick fan so I've always used the checkerboard strap. The one in the photo was this first one I ever got, which was back in high school. I drove almost 2 hours to get it at a store that was a Hamer dealer.

JakeK wrote: Anyway, to get on the topic of 480 models...Rich, your 480 is something else. It's got a bright color (score 1), loud pickups (score 2) and is unique (score 3). It sure had a lot of interest at SCARF and looked brand new, you really cleaned that thing up!
