Not sure about the color of #2, but it WILL have 12 strings!
Not sure what I'll name it, either--the Strat is the "Afghanicaster", the Tele is the "Sandcaster" (ok, so no points for originality).

The Ric is simply "The Grail".
So would that make a 12 The Holy Grail?

Welcome to the RRF.
Probably something blindingly original, like "THE twelve".
Hafta wait and see--gotta take the instrument itself, as well as the circumstances surrounding it's acquisition into account.

No matter--took me 28 years to get my first Ric, I can wait a few weeks for the second.

Oh and welcome aboard the RRF bus! What color will Rick #2 be?
Come to think of it, I'm kind of leaning towards one of those early '90's models, solid red with all black hardware...

We shall see what the fates place in my path. I'm relatively sure I'll recognize THE one when it presents itself.

Well if you're looking for a 330/12 with BT/BH, here you go; it's MID, not RED, though: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=402387&p=710921#p710921
There is no reason to ever be bored.

I appreciate the link, but apparently I'm too new to the forum to gain access at the moment.
How many posts do I need to get the secret decoder ring?

Welcome, Michael!

There's one in the UK: eBay 330603598844 but that might be of little use?

Tempting, but if a second Rickenbacker were to show up at the house less than a month after the first, Missus would probably lose her sense of humor--I'd be safer staying in Iraq! No real hurry for #2....#1 and I haven't even been formally introduced yet!

Sometimes it is better to beg forgivness afterwards then get permission ahead of time.

What drew me to Rickenbacker? No, I was slightly too young to actually remember the Ed Sullivan clips first time around. But the next year, on a bright Saturday morning in September, 1965, when I was 3 1/2, I saw this:

Then next week it was this:

And it got even better with this:

And so on. More info:

Michael,

Welcome aboard! I have a 1991 330/12 which is red with black hardware. It's an unusual Rick color, but I really love mine.

I always wanted a 4005 & a 3001 being a stone roses fan, but as they don't make them anymore I had to settle for a 4003 (which is awesome).

I've never actually played a genuine 4005 though, and probably never will.
I want to be a door too...
