I remember Gloria...watching the eye going over was surreal.

This one is being played up for all it's worth. Evacuations all over the place. They shut down all the mass transit in the city, and out here on the island the LIRR is shut down.

The fire dept came through my neighborhood this morning making announcements to prepare and then get out! I stowed everything under 50 lbs in the garage or the basement and got out the battery operated lights and radio....all my Ricks are on the second floor...I have plenty of cold beer and a line to the neighbor's generator if needed (to keep it cold, of course!)

Careful J, you're getting awfully close to the line........
Your post almost sounds like a line of dialogue from an old Mickey Rooney movie. Stay safe. Tom

Well, we were fine! Afternoon showers in Tampa are worse than what we had. I even played my gig Saturday night with little to no distraction. I checked in with Koellings and Garners, they're ok.

Glad all seems ok, I hear Staten Island got it pretty hard.

Don't take this the wrong way everyone, but it was nice to be a spectator for a change!

Well, I lost 1 tree, which smashed my deck. 2 other trees will need to come down and I have some roof & gutter damage. Gonna have to sell a few Ricks to help with the insurance deductible and other repairs. Be on the lookout.

Here in Hometown PA, we lost power for almost 24 hours. I didn't mind. My brother, my friend Steve, and I just chilled in Turkey Hill (No Power as well). I love that place.
