Protecting a Ric Bass finish-FROM A STAND

What do you guys think of this Hercules?

The lead guitarist in my band has a couple of those he uses for rehearsals but feels they would not be great for stage use as the guitar leans waaayyyyy back on them.

Philip, I'd go for a bit more support:

Hercules are great, but get a bigger stand, as the tiny stand might cause a bass neck to get an ugly bend!
