Its been kinda boring on the forum lately. Jaymi Millards beautiful new daughter inspired me to suggest "Your kids with Ricks", I mean hey, we cant play forever right?
Wow, what a great side by side comparison with the 4005 and 4001!! First time I've seen them like that! I must acquire a 4005 as the big body is perfect for me.....
Thanks Jerry! (and I'm sure my wife thanks you too! lol)
Makes that 660 look rather small. Off hand I don't remember the month, I took that last night and now it's morning and I'm at work. I'll check (I suppose any Rickster worth his or her salt would have it committed to memory). The '05 is a tad longer that the v63 too. It's good for de-emphasisng a widening middle! The look on Jenneifer's face is probably confusion. Smile. Don't move! Smile. Don't move!...
Jerry, she's a cutie! Does she get to go into Dad's office often? My experience with young females tells me, however, that it's not confusion on her face; note the crossed arms, in my kids (and wife, too) this was/is the human female equivalent of the plume of steam coming out of the top of the volcano. The "I've had about enough of this nonsense" look. Add ten years or so to her age and this will give way to the less obvious but still dreaded "look"; see above picture of the "look" being beamed at me.
Jennifer loves the music room, especially the drums (something I don't tell my drummer - they're his).
Actually, in my wife's culture (Vietnamese), children fold their arm and say "ai" (sp?) and bow when making a request to their parents, and that's what we had her doing for the photo. Got to get a record of it now, because I'm sure she'll get wise at some point!
The 4005's serial # is GJXXXX, Oct. '67. BTW, Having it out, I had a good look at it, it's in good shape, but I was wondering - is there a preferred way to keep the finish on the fretboard in good shape? Would regular old guitar polish do it or ? Thanks.
My kids are unlucky... no-one gets near a Ric! not until they grow up. I've got a short scale 78 Musicmaster bass waiting, should one of them decide to play the bass. Daphne (3) is the only one that shows interest in music, but she's left handed. Alon (6) is more into chess, and Gai is two years old...
