A Friends New Toy
An old friend of mine just posted a pic on my FaceBook page of his new toy 4080 in BG as I get details I'll fill you in.

friends with collections are the best

Re: A Friends New Toy
Since the 4080 was introduced in 1975, it did not come with checker binding, unless specifically ordered that way. Checker binding was discontinued on the flagship 4001 in mid 1973. I've seen only one 4080/12 with checker binding, and it was added during a custom refinish outside the factory.IvanMunoz wrote:Wow, does it have checkerboard binding?

I had a chance to buy a Jetglo 4080 double neck years back in the mid 90's, but didn't have the cash ($1100)
If I had only sold my car.......
I remember it weight heavy like a tree trunk.

Stunning.. what would something like this be worth today?
Re: A Friends New Toy
We've got three 4080 BG's on the Register, could this be another one to add.
Think I prefer the BG with a white scratch plate.
