You're not late, Ted.... Today is my birthday, all day long!

And yes, John, I'll even share my chocolate decadence here--virtually.

And I might even show off my birthday present later....

Stay tuned

Ah, it's been a great day indeed.... So here's a virtual piece of chocolate decadence for you to enjoy.

And the best part is, the virtual version is calorie free. This dessert is a flour-free cake made with a cup of espresso, a pound of butter, and eight eggs, plus a whole lot of chocolate. Very decadent indeed.... Bon appetit! :D

And here's what my ever generous hubby bought me for my birthday! It's a JBL Eon 515XT PA speaker with its own stand. He also ordered me an awesome new mixer, but that hasn't arrived yet. The beauty of this speaker is that I can plug my guitar and microphone directly into the speaker if I want to, which will be just great for playing solo at small venues.... We will eventually add another speaker and the bass subwoofer in the future.

I gave the new speaker a test drive tonight, and it sounds great with my vocal mic and Ric acoustic! The sound of the guitar through the speaker is very natural, and doesn't sound artificially amplified at all--the speaker represents the guitar's true sound beautifully.

Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing. :)

Great about the speaker's handling of the Rick. Synergy.

Mmmm, yum! My brother-in-law (Kurt Zoss, the Swiss Baker) makes a great flour-less tort that is probably not far removed from yours. 8)

Thanks again, everybody.... I just noticed my post count, and not only was yesterday my birthday, but it was also a RRF milestone: I just passed the 4K mark, and this post is currently the auspicious number 4001! 8)

Thanks to all who have made posting here such an enjoyable experience! :D :D :D
