Thanks, guys. Glad you like it. I assume the mailing tube worked OK?

The book is kinda in doldrums right now as it appears I will have to reassemble it in a different program so that a publisher such as Hal Leonard/Backbeat will accept it for publication. My cover/poster designer has the program, and I'll likely be working with her some and doing the work on her setup. It shouldn't be too hard, just a matter of dropping in the text and moving the photos into place following the layout work already done. But that will delay the project, no doubt. Still looking at 2012 publication though.

The book hasn't progressed much since summer as I have still not received technical information from the publisher that I would like to do the book: Hal Leonard/Backbeat Books. They keep promising me info, and I keep waiting. I don't want to build any more of the book just to have to rebuild in another program, so I'm on hold. They seem very interested in publishing the book, but I'm sure they are busy with projects already in house. I'm still looking at 2012 for a completion date. If they stop responding to my queries, I'll take that as a pass and move to another plan, but for now, they are keeping me on their want list.

Sample pages of the book are still on my website, and I've added a blog, although there's nothing there yet. Since I opened the website, I've completed the 4001 Chris Squire chapter and the 4080 chapter. But there will also be additions to several other chapters as more photos roll in.

FINALLY!

Heard from my contact at BackBeat Books today (28 Dec.) that they will be sending me a contract in early January. The advance for the book will allow me to afford the software that they need me to use, and I'll be rolling again this winter. Right now, they are giving me a year to finish, but I'm going to come in early no doubt.

So now all you guys who have promised me photos, now's the time to come through and be a part of the book!

Yeeehaw! :D
