New 325C64!!!

Post by musicfan37 »

After having a V63 and having to sell it (major bills and not working), then having a C64 delivered and having to return it (major medical bills), I just received my new C64 yesterday! This one is staying. It was like Christmas opening the shipping box and then the inner box. :D

Well, haven't been around in awhile, but was checking in a few days ago, seeing how people were doing with their "C" orders. I've got a 360/12C63 and a 325C58, and just resigned myself that I wasn't going to go thru any more multi-year waits, I just didn't have it in me to even try to get a 325C64.

So, I'm checking thru the threads the other day, and spot some mentions of shipments going out from the factory, so I say, what the heck, wonder what Gary at NCM has got as a backlog. And lo and behold, he's got two in stock! As Frank Barone would say, "Holy ****!"

I stew about it all Friday night, and I keep going over to lock at his inventory, and they're still there. So Saturday morning I talk it over with my wife, and since she can't stand crying, weeping and teeth gnashing in men, she says, "OK, get it, just quit crying in front of the dog!" And I download the order form and fax it -- on a Saturday -- and hope NCM's fax machine isn't jammed. So now I've got "the fever" again -- I want, no, I NEED a 325C64! I'm thinking, should I call Gary (on a Saturday), e-mail him separately, drive to Wisconsin???

And then I look at the inventory Monday morning -- and NCM is now "Sold Out". Uh-oh. I should never have even thought about it -- I knew I'd never be so lucky! But then later that day I get that wonderful e-mail acknowledging my order, and my "Miami" is on the way!

And now I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning (again). Damn you, Rickenbacker Inc! I'm too old for this kind of stress -- quit making such fantastic guitars!

This will be Rick #5, and the 4th from NCM. Life is beautiful again.

This makes three for me: 325C64 (Jetglo), 360/12 (Fireglo) and 4003 (Jetglo).
