I can't believe we took an out-of-town friend there and to Nat'l Cathedral just a few days before. Both are still closed, which is pretty serious for this town. Usually things are fixed up right away, actually.

They were supposed to rappel down the Washington Monument today to visually inspect it, but the threat of thunderstorms today nixed that idea...here's the story:
