Eko Ranger XII LH

Post by jdogric12 »

Hey Genesis fans. and Musical Box fans. Here's a nice piece I just picked up from Quebec (ok they actually shipped it so I wouldn't have to make the drive)

lefty Eko Ranger 12 acoustic. It weghs about 30 pounds and is put together with deck screws. I can't wait to let it acclimate (shipped with no case!!!) and string it up and see if it explodes!

A friend of mine had one of these in the '80s. Interesting construction and "craftsmanship". I'm not sure that Eko had worked out that a 12-string neck would be put under more tension than a 6-string.

This is definitely one to tune down a half step, or a full step, or a tritone....

I have had quite a few of these over the years, they are horrendous. The tops are often pulled up as they can't cope with the string tension.

I had two in the 80's. Never had any problems with mine, and recalled I quite liked the sound.

Just be sure you check the TIG welds before stringing it up for the first time.

I have an Eko acoustic bass. Pretty new. It has a real acoustic sound that can easily keep up with other guitars. I enjoy it

Is it the old Italian Eko, or the newer Chinese stuff?
